DAZZLE!
This public art workshop gave participants the chance to design and build their very own dazzle boat – as used in World War I to confuse and disorientate the enemy!
Each participant created their own origami dazzle boat which formed part of a collaborative flotilla on the day. Each participant gifted their boat - with a built in message of goodwill - to a stranger, before later receiving one at random in return by mail.
This fun and thought-provoking workshop tied in with Glasgow’s strong maritime history and promoted a sense of community and togetherness between the participants. Glasgow is renowned as a friendly place and this reciprocal gift-giving activity provided a great chance for people to get creative and spread some original happiness!
